We hope you’re safe and doing all the self-care things that you’re able to do during this uncertain time. In case you’re looking for it, we’ve got more resources below to help with the stresses that this time is causing.
We’d like to give you an update on how we’re responding to COVID-19 for our in-person community events. Ensuring that we continue to support the Inclusion Geeks community is of critical importance to us and, well, thankfully we’re pretty dang tech-savvy, so we’re doing everything in our power to keep our community going! Here’s how we’re doing it. We also recognize that there’s a need now more than ever to find ways to support each other and connect as many social distancing ways as possible.
We’ve gone virtual!
We’re currently planning to host all events virtually for as long as we need to. This has given us an opportunity to expand our ability to connect with attendees that typically wouldn’t be able to make it IRL.
We will likely keep a virtual option regardless of what happens with COVID-19. From an accessibility standpoint, we recognize the need to connect virtually, whether you can’t physically get to an event due to geography, home situation, or a disability that makes it impossible.
As of this update on 4/29, we’ve hosted two virtual geek outs, a virtual career coaching event with twelve incredible career coaches, a virtual job fair, a virtual happy hour, and we relaunched our podcast!
We remain steadfast in our commitment to serving our community and we welcome your ideas as we continue to find new and innovative ways to support you!
